You don’t have to have it all figured out.

Maybe this is what brought you here.

You’re functioning. You’re showing up. You’re doing what needs to get done. But underneath, things feel overwhelming and unmanageable, and you feel unseen.

Divorce & separation

When your life changes and you're trying to find your footing again.

Motherhood & Parenting

When you love your family but struggle with the demands placed on you.

High-conflict dynamics

When conflict with your ex leaves you anxious, overwhelmed, or on edge.

Boundaries & Identity

When you're ready to stop losing yourself in everyone else's needs.

My approach.

I'm not here to hand you a list of things you should be doing differently. I'm here to help you understand what's happening, untangle the patterns and behaviors that have you feeling stuck, and find practical ways to move forward in a way that supports your needs. This looks like honest conversations, clinically-supported data, and real-life tools.

Most of my clients come in with some understanding of their feelings and what makes their situation hard. Usually, that hard part is communicating how much they feel unseen, unheard, misunderstood, or alone.

You don't have to stay stuck in survival mode.

Therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of your experience, and practice a different way forward.
Understand your patterns.
Explore why certain situations hit so hard and what keeps you feeling stuck.
Build boundaries that work in real life.
Practice responding to conflict without giving it all your energy.
Reconnect with yourself.
Make room for your needs, values, and identity alongside your responsibilities.

Starting therapy shouldn’t feel overwhelming.

You don’t need to have it all figured out before you reach out.

Reach out.

Tell me how I can help.

See if we’re a good fit.

Talk through your needs and next steps.

Begin where you are.

Start with what is weighing on you now.

You deserve support, too.
You spend a lot of time thinking about everyone else. Let’s make some room for you.

Background

My name is Dr. Gabriella Puleo-Carrigan, and I am a registered mental health counseling intern in Florida. Throughout my academic and clinical careers, I have firmly held the belief that two things can always be true. For many clients, that presents itself as a coexistence of overwhelm and resilience, despite how critical a situation might feel. My work as a therapist is rooted in helping people navigate the parts of life that can leave them questioning themselves: divorce, complicated relationships, difficult co-parenting dynamics, post-separation abuse, motherhood, and the process of finding their footing again after life shifts away from what they imagined it to be. These experiences can be isolating, especially when the people around you don’t fully understand what you’re carrying or the pressure to keep it all together.

Through my clinical training and experience, I’ve come to appreciate how much our learned patterns and behaviors shape the way we see ourselves and move through the world. I also know that understanding why you feel the way you do doesn’t always make it easier to change things. I built this practice as a safe harbor for people who feel alone in their own world, who simply don’t have a workable skillset (yet!) and who may not have the right language to describe their experience and their needs. At Outshine, you will always have a place to show up just as you are, focus on what you need, and become a better you.
